Use this to ...

  • Create wireframe circles and arcs.

Prerequisites

  • You should be in the Generative Shape Design workbench.

Process: Creating a Circle by Defining a Center Point and Radius

1. Select Insert | Wireframe | Circle. The Circle Definition dialog displays.

2. In the Circle type list, select Center and radius.

3. In the Graphics window, pick a center point.

4. Pick the support.

5. In the Radius text box, enter a value.

6. If required, activate Geometry on support.

7. Select the required Circle Limitations options.

8. Click OK to create the circle.

Process: Creating a Bitangent Circle by Defining Tangent Elements and the Radius

1. Select Insert | Wireframe | Circle. The Circle Definition dialog.

2. In the Circle type list, select Bitangent and radius.

The dialog changes.

3. In the Graphics window, pick the first element to be tangent to.

4. Pick the second element to be tangent to.

5. Pick the support.

6. In the Radius text box, enter a value.


7. Select the required Circle Limitations options.

8. Click OK to create the circle.
