Use this to ...

  • Create several instances of an object.

Key Points

  • Object Repetition doesn't work with all objects in CATIA. However, you can quickly create multiples of points on a line, offset planes, lines at an angle or normal to a curve, offset surfaces, and parallel curves. You can also use Object Repetition to create multiple translations and rotations, or to scale an object.
Each instance is dependent on the original object. Therefore, changing the definition of the original object also changes the instance.

Prerequisites

  • You should be in the Generative Shape Design workbench.

Process: Creating Multiple Objects

1. Select Insert | Advanced Replication Tools | Object Repetition. The Object Repetition dialog displays.
